I am passionate about Girls Inc because of their empowering message to girls about being Strong, Smart and Bold. The teaching, activites and camps that Girls Inc provides gives young women choices and resources to meet their goals, and the confidence to achieve them! I have a deep passion for charitable work and helping others. I am inspired by the Starfish Thrower story, and love supporting organizations that are passionate about making a difference one person at a time.
I have been assisting charities and non-profit organizations since 2013. Being involved with Pack a Bag Foundation that provides backpacks full of pajamas, books and toys to those in need has taught me how much one gesture can mean to someone. My volunteering for Community Living Lunchbox Café which trains adults with developmental disabilities has shown me the joy and contribution every person can have in a community where they are valued. I am a supporter of World Vision, United Way and Milton Hospital Foundation. I am also passionate about connecting businesses with non-profits and charities where they can donate their time, services or products.
I have been a retail professional for over 20 years, and am currently a National Account Manager for a leading Health & Beauty company. I received an Honours BA from the University of Toronto. I have 3 children, including a daughter that I am looking forward to involving her in Girls Inc activities.
