Kate is very proud to be joining the Board of Girls Inc of Halton. She believes that working on behalf of a strong cause is an absolute privilege. She knows that the non-profit sector is where she belongs. Kate says, “I have had the opportunity to work my entire career in not for profit. I started out at a smaller local agency, and it was then that I realized the immense value of community and partnerships. My passion ignited and shaped my career path” Most recently Kate’s talents have been focused at Community Foundations and United Way spending over a decade dedicated to changing lives and making a difference. She was able to grow the campaign by 100% at United Way in Milton, by engaging key volunteers, rallying community support and a lot of enthusiasm. In addition to her CFRE Designation and a certificate in Business from Sheridan College, Kate has a degree in Social Development Studies from the University of Waterloo. What keeps her busy outside of the office? Her smart, spunky, stubborn son who just happens to be the light of her life. To help keep up with him she gives in to her slight Starbucks addiction.
